Frequent TV breakdowns

Here are the most common failures encountered on LED and LCD televisions. In the majority of cases, the problem comes from the LED backlight.

1) Sound present, black screen

  • The TV turns on normally, the sound works.
  • The screen remains black or very dark.
  • With a flashlight, a faint image is visible.

Probable cause: defective LED backlight.

Solution: replacement of LED strips.

2) The image goes out after a few seconds

  • The image appears then disappears.
  • The sound remains active.

Cause: LED bar cut.

Action: test the bars and replace the kit.

3) Dark screen or bright areas

  • Uneven image.
  • Light spots or dark areas.

Cause: partially worn LEDs.

4) Flashing at startup

  • The image flashes then becomes stable.

Cause: aging LEDs or unstable power supply.

5) Other possible failures

  • Power board
  • T-Con board
  • Main board
